Say Hello to Patrick Laughlin, iProv’s New COO!

iProv is excited to bring on a new member to our ever-growing digital marketing team. Patrick has a knack for marketing and is excited to implement his problem-solving skills and help Little Rock businesses grow. Here are a few things you should know about him:

What is your favorite thing about Little Rock?

My favorite part about growing up in Little Rock is its small-town feel. I still see people I grew up with all the time, and it’s fun to see what they are up to now.

I also enjoy being to connect with my kids through shared experiences. For example, my kids go to the same elementary school I went to, so they are always asking me what it was like when I was there.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Three things tie for being the most rewarding:

  • Creating plans and watching them succeed.
  • Constant opportunities to learn.
  • Coaching and mentoring.

What is the coolest project you have worked on?

I recruited YouTubers to use and promote RhinoAG agricultural equipment over a 2-year period. I was responsible for finding the influencers, getting them under contract through Rhino’s legal department, and creating a system to measure their value over time.

If there were one piece of advice that you would give about digital marketing, what would it be?

The most important part of healthcare marketing is telling the right story to the right audience. If you take care of that, everything else will fall into place.

What is the biggest challenge in today’s digital marketing world?

The pace of change is challenging and it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information. Unfortunately, bad information and unreliable sources are abundant, making it easy to get distracted by the ‘shiny’ things that are lower in value.

My best strategy for handling this is to find a couple of reliable sources with proven track records for success and follow them. If the ‘shiny’ stuff shows up on their radar I know it’s important enough for me to pay attention to.

What is your favorite digital marketing tool?

My favorite digital marketing tool is Agency Analytics. Being able to get data to inform decisions quickly is critical to keep up with the changing world of digital healthcare marketing.

What is your favorite social media outlet?

My favorite social media outlet to lurk on is Twitter, but my favorite for connecting with friends and family is Facebook.

The one I’m most likely to use is Instagram!
