Patrick Laughlin: We spent a couple of days last week in Nashville at the SHSMD 2019 conference, and we learned a lot about what healthcare marketers deal with day-to-day, and how they’re using marketing, specifically a lot of great digital tools and data, to grow their hospitals and their practices.
Jordan Smith: What we’ve learned since we got in the healthcare field is it’s always changing, and much more rapidly than a lot of different industries. SHSMD was really valuable as far as just tapping into those individuals that are doing it on a day-to-day basis just like we are to try to figure out their struggles are, and different creative ways that they’re getting around those challenges.
RJ Martino: You get insiders together, and we really get together and we show each other the problems we’re struggling with. And, what’s interesting is you always think you’re on an island. You think “We’re the only ones dealing with this problem”, but inevitably get around a thousand other people that have had the exact same problem, that have tried a solution, a different solution than you’ve tried, you’re able to just gain insight and it really catapults your experience, your expertise serving your customer base.
