Catalin Jansen, AKA Cat, is one of iProv’s business consultants, and let’s just say he is a passionate guy! One of Cat’s greatest qualities is the energy that he brings to our office. Little-known fact—Cat is an Eagle Scout! Originally from Michigan, Cat joined our Arkansas marketing company so that he could take iProv’s services back up to his home state. Learn a little more about him by checking out his interview below!
1. What brought you to iProv all the way from Michigan?
I wanted to be part of something new, something that I am able to grow. RJ [iProv’s president and CEO] came to me back in November of 2017 and proposed a great opportunity where I could have the potential to expand what he has built! What drove me here is the excitement of taking iProv’s services back to my hometown!
2. Do you have any qualities you are known for in your professional life?
My friends and those who have worked with me in the past have always said I am a people person. I love meeting, greeting, and learning about different viewpoints and understanding the root cause of any and every situation.
3. What would your clients say about you?
My clients in the past have called me a problem solver. I strongly believe that every “problem” has a “solution” There is no such thing as defeat. If what you are doing now isn’t working, it is probably time to find something different.
4. What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can make?
My biggest passion is educating businesses about marketing and developing their strengths. I truly enjoy marketing and creating plans and actions to drive results. The biggest excitement I get is when I am able to take something old and create a brand new face for it. I believe every few years, a company should look into re-branding or at least refreshing their image, and for someone like me, I love to sit down and brainstorm with them to create something new (and most importantly, effective)!
5. Do you have any personal hobbies or passions?
My biggest passion that drives me every day is success. It does not matter what I am doing, as long as I know I can succeed. I have always enjoyed exploring different businesses. In today’s world, you have to be up to date and know what is going on. I don’t want to be the person who isn’t in “the know,” so I spend time researching and trying to understand different types of industries. Especially with marketing, it’s important to understand many different industries—because for our purposes, many of those industries are connected!
6. Where can we find you when you’re not working?
When I am not working? I’m socializing! I love experiencing new restaurants and bars. If you see me out, I most likely will be the guy talking and having a good time around different folks. When I’m not socializing, I am out hiking, running, swimming and sometimes spending an hour studying marketing at home while watching some good old Netflix.
7. Anything else you’d like to add?
At the end of the day, I want people to know that no matter how long, how hard or how far something is, I want people to know that I don’t give up. I want to be successful and I want those around me to be successful. So let’s work together.
