1. What most excites you about your work and the contribution you can make?
My favorite part is my contribution to someone’s story. Whether it’s just writing about an event that is going to be taking place, or a story about a client’s product, I enjoy the experience of learning about someone else’s perspective. To me, a person’s perspective is unclassifiable—it’s unique, and the idea that it might have been told a million ways already, but now it’s my turn to add my own touch to it, that excites me.
2. What are you passionate about personally?
Literature. I believe strongly in the power of books and words. Literature to me is going on an adventure. No matter the genre, fiction or non, by opening the pages of a book we can be transported into a new world, learning and living through characters in the world written about. We study and write about it for many different reasons, some to learn, others to simply enjoy. Literature has no bounds; it is not limited by the past, present or the future.
And my family, of course. I pride myself in being the best mom possible to my little girl. She may be little miss sassy pants, but I adore the mother/daughter bond. I never truly understood what unconditional love meant until I laid eyes on her tiny form.
3. Where can we find you when you’re not working with Little Rock SEO?
My daughter, Everleigh, is the light of my life—together we believe in the magic of flying with dragons, dancing with fairies, swimming with mermaids and the sparkle of unicorns. My days tend to consist of voicing stuffed animals and hanging out with her, but when I have downtime, you can almost always find me curled up with a book. Though unfortunately, between juggling work and being a mom, right now I am also still a fulltime student, so my evening consists of doing homework and whining about doing homework to my rotten, darling dogs—who are fantastic listeners, if you were wondering.
4. Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now?
I grew up not far from here. Cabot is and always will be my hometown and has a soft spot in my heart, but I did take the opportunity to move out of that small community the first chance I got. Nevertheless, Cabot isn’t far—at all, from me now.
5. What would be impossible for you to give up?
Probably coffee. I depend way too much on the caffeinated goodness to focus during the day. Oh, and my iPad!
